 BookMunger 1.0 - BookMunger is a small application that reformats "etexts".
These files have unfortunate carriage returns, linefeeds, bad punctuation,
double spaces after periods and other typesetting no-no's. The BookMunger
app will read these files in (actually, ANY file of the type'TEXT') strip
out the nastyness and write out a new file of the type text. This program
is very helpful in preparing text which will eventually wind up on the
Newton. This program is freeware, copy it all you want.

 Bookworm-SW 1.0 - This program, "Bookworm", is a program to provide you
with the correct location of a page on a plate of 8 1/2 x 11 when you are
using sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 to create a booklet of a size 4 1/4 x 5 1/2
which results from cutting the sheet in half and then folding it. Pages
must be specified in increments of four and the program will reject a
number that does not meet this requirement. You also have the option of
either numbering the cover pages or leaving them blank in which case the
numbers will reach two less than the total pages with number one starting
on the first inside page. I suspect that commercial printers can also adapt
the program to other sizes so long as the basic logic is maintained.

 Brain Box Comix 1.0 - This is the viewer application used to read Brain Box
Comix stories. This is the first underground comic book of its kind and I
hope it will convince more cartoonists to use this untapped medium. Unlike
superhero comics, "Underground" comics have been around since the 60's and
are still strong today. They are usually produced solely by the artist and
this allows full freedom of expression uncensored by advertisers or
editors. Unfortunatly, this means they are very low budget (usually xerox &
staple) and low distribution. So most the world misses out on this raw &
very personal talent. By  going digital I hope to share this art form to
people who wouldn't get a chance otherwise. Check out Brain Box Story 1.

exclusive rights to these maps. To use them place them in your Photoshop
Plug-Ins Folder. For further, more specific, instructions see the
documentation. You probably need to print out the docs before trying to use

which produces controlled kaleidoscopic effects. Install this filter, then

Circular-Multiple Image) is one of the 10 Filters in Andromeda Software
Inc's Series 1 Photography Filters. Usage of the filter is fairly
self-explanatory. The kaleidoscopic may be dragged to any position in

 Calibration Strip PIM - This Photoshop 2.0 Plugin module generates the
standard calibration strip for the Photoshop "Transfer" function under page
setup. It generates all the control points for the transfer curve (0%, 5%,
10% up to 100%), with each block 1/4 inch, and the ability to scale the
entire strip. The calibration strip is generated as a portrait, but it can
be rotated as needed. This can be used to calibrate and verify highlight
dots and to verify that the shadow dots are not plugged. The 50% point
allows the checking of the dot gain of the system. This is freeware program

 CatoSeven Tails - This is a utility of the 'one dumb job' variety. It does
one job, and does it fast and with minimal hoorah. Cat o’ Seven Tails is
SYSTEM 7 ONLY. Its only interface is Drag and Drop, so you cannot use it
with earlier Systems. If you double-click on it from a System 6 machine,
you will get an error message and the software will quit gracefully. To use
Cat o’ Seven Tails _with_ System 7, simply select the files you want to
concatenate and drag them on the program's icon or an alias of it. A new
file called "Concatenated files…" will be created, and your original source
files will remain unaltered.

 ChangeCase 1.2 - The ChangeCase XTension allows QuarkXPress 3.1 or higher
users to change the case of characters in text boxes to either uppercase or
lowercase by choosing the appropriate menu item from the Utilities menu.
Selecting a range of text - including either uppercase or lowercase
characters - and choosing the "Change To Uppercase" menu item from the
Utilities menu will change all of the selected characters to their
uppercase equivalents. The "Change To Lowercase" option works in the same
way except that the characters will be converted to their lowercase
equivalents. ChangeCase functions completely independent of QuarkXPress's
own "All Caps" text style attribute.

feeds. I have found that most programs that remove line feeds have a
tendency to screw up. Therefore, I wrote my own. Also, most programs just
don’t know how to deal with Unix line feeds, but this one does. In version
2.0 I added the new feature of restoring line feeds. Since I was using PCs
at the time, I really needed to move both ways. To add line feeds to a file
you simply have to hold down the option key during launch. As an added
feature, you may add Unix style line feeds by holding down the control key
instead.
